Puisi Warna Arie Smit
Puisi Warna Arie Smit
Arie Smit's unique works are a reflection of the purity of his soul as a traveler, a devotee of nature under the light of the tropical sun. His pouring onto the canvas immediately spreads a variety of color elements that always seem to cover all the objects and panoramas he paints. The themes of his works are known as “dari kaja ke kelod”(From the mountains to the sea). Arie Smit is one of the few great foreign painters living in Bali.
A visual feast, this richly illustrated book explores a detailed biographical and art historical overview of life and work of Arie Smit. This book showcases over 80 full color reproductions of Arie’s works before 1994 and a selection of personal photos. All the works in this collection has been carefully selected from the collection of Arie Smit, President Soekarno, Jusuf Wanandi, Thetrin Meiliana, Tossin Himawan, Santi Fine Arts Gallery, Suteja Neka, Budi Setiadharma, Koes Karnadi and Iliana Lie.
