This book was published in conjunction with the  exhibition “Permata Cita, Textile Collection of Indonesia's First Ladies", with the intention that it may nurture the reader's cultural insights of the Indonesian textiles.

The first part of the book presents the fine collection of the President of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri and other prominent First Ladies in the course of more than 50 years. Various informative articles about the textiles displayed, written by devotees of Indonesian traditional textiles will be offered in the second part of the book. The final part will offer the rich collections of Indonesian traditional textile collectors.
