Known for her playful paintings that are reminiscent of children's art, Erica can be considered "art's most playful child". This book opens with an exposure of her prolific oeuvre which consist of various subject matter: animals, mythologies and fantasies, daily life, interpersonal relationships and family life, as well as her search for personal identity. The second part of the volume traces the story of her life and artistic development, starting from her early childhood, her times studying at Institut Seni Rupa indonesia fine art academy, and finally her experiences in "the real world. It also offers an observation of the artist's artistic techniques, style, expression and themes vis-a-vis her artistic development. This book is published in conjunction with a solo exhibition of her art works, held at the Galeri Nasional Indonesia, in the year 2001.
